The Senate Community Affairs References Committee (the Committee) commenced its inquiry into the Support at Home program (the inquiry) in November 2025.
Our submission to the inquiry highlights flaws in the design of the Support at Home program that prevent it from delivering on its intended purpose, and in many ways, undermine it. It also sets out 19 recommendations to inform future reform and drive the significant changes needed to ensure the program better meets the needs of older Australians.
